Handphone Shop Story

I'm here to continue the story of the handphone shop thing.
Monday night, my sis went to help me get the things from the shop.
Okay, we're supposed to get the crystal case, desktop charger, and have an exchange of the battery.
When my sis got there and told the guy about the battery,
she said he looked a little panicky and worried.
So anybody would have seen right through him.
And they actually didn't get the stocks for the crystal case,
when he told me last week they'd get them by Monday.
So my gungho sis showed him a black face and probably said something nasty,
which sent him scurrying to another handphone shop to borrow a crystal case first.
Then my sis came home, with an air of triumph.

The thing that infuriates me the most is,
they obviously want to cheat people of the battery right?
Why can't they be more professional about it?
That guy told me on the phone last week,
"There may have been a mistake,
I might have given you the wrong battery 'accidentally'."
So shouldn't he be treating the whole incident as an accident?
Instead of clearly showing it on his face?
I think the only thing I've got to say is...
He's only recently started working there.
Or maybe I'm the only customer he's had that didn't fall into his trap.

Everyone's Sick.

My parents and I are sick.
Which leaves my sis.
Let's hope she doesn't catch our germs, too.
My pa went to see Dr. Ah Yap on Sunday.
And the three of us ate those medicine.
He went to see Dr. Ah Yap again today.
So we're eating his medicines again.
Haha.
My ma is the most affected.
She couldn't cook,
so I made myself lunch.
An egg with leftover rice and a piece of leftover chicken.
I thought I fried the egg pretty well.
One of my biggest acomplishments. (:

I'm Sick, Naturally

I'm sick.
Naturally.
I saw it coming, being the Chinese New Year, and all.
Having flu, cough, and sore throat.
I predicted the sore throat, too.
Having eaten the whole bag of hot and spicy snacks.
Everyone's getting sick..
My pa, bf, and now me.
Ugh.
I can't think properly.
I can't continue typing.

I Love Me Phone!

Got my N70 back.
I don't think I love the 6288 as much as my N70.
And it saves me the money to get a new mini SD card.
Went to sleep at around 11.30PM last night but couldn't fall asleep,
cos I had this nagging feeling in my heart that I wanted my phone back.
So I woke my pa up and exchanged phones again.
Haha.

Need A Bigger SD Card For Phone

I seriously need a bigger memory card for the new phone.
My 512MB memory card is in the father's N70,
which is going to waste since he doesn't take pictures.
I checked the phone's gallery just to be sure and found a video of him and his friends
at a food court.
The bad news is the N70's memory card slot is only able to put in reduce sized memory cards.
This 6288's memory card slot is for mini SD cards.
The phone came with a 128MB card.
That's like,
very little.
I can't even put in all my Eason Chen songs. -.-"
Am going to Sim Lim Square to get one.
Cheap cheap!

New Phone For ME

Exchanged my N70 with my pa for his new Nokia 6288.
Don't think the camera is as good as N70, a little too bright.
But I love the graphics.
But whatever.

New Phone For Pa

Went with pa to buy handphone for him just now.
As expected, the salesman whipped out all sorts of stuff to persuade us to buy.
Thinking that the promotion package of one Nokia battery, handphone pouch, desktop charger, screen protector and crystal
case, all for $68, was worth it,
we decided to include that package as well.
They told us it's the New Year so they can't get stocks ,
that's why I've got to go back on Monday to get the crystal case and desktop charger.
But after closer inspection,
I realized that the battery he gave me was a compatible one,
instead of the original one that he said he was going to include.
So I called up the shop.
He told me there may have been a mistake.
That he "accidentally" gave me the wrong one.
"Purposely", more like.
I told him I'll be going back on Monday to get it, along with the crystal case and desktop charger.
With my sharp eyes,
I saved myself.

So the thing is...
When buying handphones from shops who aren't the authorised dealers,
i.e. those shops which deal with 2 or 3 handphone operators,
keep your eyes opened.
Only those which bear the sign, 'Singtel' or 'Starhub',
or those M1 Shops and Singtel Hello! stores are trustworthy.

My ma just received a phone call from my cousin.
My cousin asked if my ma is willing to be the child's nanny for a monthly $500.
Of cos my ma took the job.
I'm happy, too.
With the extra income and a baby in the house!
We're already planning where to put the cot!
:D

Sights and Sounds

Went to watch Just Follow Law with bf yesterday.
It was good!
A typical made-in-Singapore movie,
but much better than I Not Stupid all that.
Story plot is dull but roles played were good,
especially Fann Wong.
Quite a bit of tear-jerker at the end.
When Gurmit Singh and Fann Wong realise how important is family.
Then went with bf to the place near Esplanade where they put up decorations and stuf during CNY for people to see.
There was nothing much, really.
Every year is the same.
Took some photos.
Then we went to Lau Pa Sat for dinner.
Then we walked back to the bridge near Esplanade to sit.
Took some photos.
Whees. :D

My Old Workplace, My Favourite Workplace: TakPo

Last night my ex-colleage Xiao Hong called to ask how I was.
I was glad to hear from him but felt guilty cos after resigning,
I haven't took time to pay them a visit.
So I've decided to go Chinatown to see them this weekend.
And buy some cake to treat them and at the same time see if there were any more angbaos around.
Xiao Hong asked me,
"Wei she me mei lai kan wo men ah?
Ou er chuan yi ge jian xun lai jiu xing le ma?
Jin nian mei lai gen wo na hong bao ah?"
Then I told him,
"OK, wo ming tian jiu qu!"
He said,
"BU YAO BU YAO!
Ha ha, mei you la..."
I remember receiving a $2 ang bao from him last year.
I miss the people there.
I miss the fun and laughter.
They seem to be able to make eveything into a big joke.
And we'll just laugh laugh laugh.
Work was especially fun with Xiao Hong around..
He was my fake-high-five buddy.
We'd run towards each other in slow motion and slap each other high fives and pretend to miss.
Then feign shock.
Xiao Kang used to laugh at us from behind the congee counter,
when he was new.
Xiao Hong is full of crap.
That time when I was still working there,
his wife gave birth to a son.
Coincidentally, his surname is Luo.
So he named his son Luo Zhi Xiang.
I remember he showed me a photocopied copy of the birth cert.
I read the name and started laughing.
There were lots of good times during the 6 or 7 months working there.
I would continue working there if there wasn't so much work.
I'm lazy, yeah.
But the workload is heavy.
I miss them.
But I'll be there to see them this weekend.

Rob back in rehab... ='(

Rob is back in rehab... ='(

"Williams enters rehab on birthday
Robbie Williams
Williams has enjoyed a hugely successful solo career to date

Pop singer Robbie Williams has been admitted into a rehab clinic in the US on his 33rd birthday, to be treated for a dependency on prescription drugs.

It is not the first time the British star has entered rehab, having become addicted to drugs and alcohol after he left Take That in 1995.

He said later that his condition was so bad that Sir Elton John "kidnapped" him and made him seek treatment.

In September, his Asian tour was called off because of stress and exhaustion.

The Los Angeles-based performer was to have visited Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Mumbai (Bombay) and Bangalore in November.

A spokesman said at the time that to have performed in those cities after honouring European and South American commitments would have been "asking too much".

'Personal issues'

Speaking to BBC Radio Stoke - based in Williams' home town - his mother, Jan, said it was a "gift" for her that he was seeking treatment.

"He's a very public figure and all the media attention at the moment is added pressure on him," she said.

Robbie Williams
I shall be sending him loads and loads of love as always - I have always given him a lot of loving support
Jan Williams, Robbie's mother
Mrs Williams plans to fly out to the US after her son has finished his spell in rehab.

"I shall be going across at some stage but when you're in rehab, it's a programme for the person themselves, and they have to address their own personal issues," she added.

Last year, the singer spoke frankly of his experience with depression in a BBC documentary on bipolar disorder with Stephen Fry.

In the interview, he admitted taking antidepressants and that his depression had made him "stop going out".

"I'd get up in front of 40,000 people and say 'look at me, I'm ace'", he said.

"Then as soon as I got off stage, I'd get in the tour coach and go back to my bedroom and pull the duvet over my eyes."

In another TV interview, broadcast in 2004, Williams said he only gave up drugs and alcohol because they made him too fat.

He said his addiction made him "blow up to the size of a small aircraft hangar".

Williams' former Take That bandmates are currently enjoying a hugely successful comeback, including a number one single and album, and a sell-out UK tour.

Their song Patience is expected to win best single at the Brit Awards ceremony, which takes place in London on Wednesday.

But this is the first time in several years that Williams has failed to be in the running for the best male or best album categories. "

In case you don't know, I'm a huge fan of Robbie Williams.
I've read 5 or 6 of his autobiographies and it's really sad to know his story and how he fought his inner battle with drugs and alcohol to see him bounce back again.
But life for him isn't easy.
I hope he gets well soon.

Anyway, a less depressing news here.
It's me and my baby's first anniversary today.
I love you, baby. (:

GONG XI FA CAI!

It's Chinese New Year Eve today.
We did some cleaning up and stuff.
My ma brought the dog to our house.
She refused to pose for the camera.
We had our tuan yuan fan, roasted duck and steamboat with lots of abalone.
I ate two pieces straight out of the can and it tasted disgusting.
GONG XI FA CAI!

Bugger

I went to school this morning just to find out that there's no lesson today.
Fuck.
My ma bought this pot of flowers at $4.
I say, I've never seen anyone else bargain the way she does.
It's pretty nice too.

Thursday, February 15, 2007

Yesterday I got a huge shock.
It's always when I don't expect anything and don't anticipate,
that I get a surprise.
I was walking towards our meeting place but couldn't see him anywhere,
and when I spotted him,
he was holding a little bouquet!
Although there're only 3 roses and little flowers and stuff,
I loved it.
It's the sincerity and thought that counts.
He used his lunchtime to go out and buy the flowers,
and only had lunch at 3 plus.
And he drew me a card which I think is far nicer than what I drew him.
It even has a photo of him looking pretty in it.
I took the flowers happily,
and when we walked past a woman holding a huge bouquet,
I didn't envy her at all!
I think maybe an aunite envied me,
or was it me looking weird and standing at a weird location?
I was waiting outside the toilet for him to finish pooping,
holding flowers with one hand and pressing my handphone frantically with my other hand,
trying to not look out of place,
which I did.
This morning I checked the flowers,
they haven't dried up yet!
Am so happy. (:

Just watched Borat.
It's fucking crap.

Am staying home today.
No lessons for today and tomorrow.
And it's Valentine's Day today!
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!
I love you, you love me, I love him, she loves me, he loves her, she loves her, we love you, you love us, GOD LOVES ME!
Not anticipating any surprises today.
I already prepared myself for that.

I drew the bf a card in less then 2 hours.
We're going through this craze of drawing cards for each other, no matter the occasion.

It's gonna be Chinese New Year soon.
I've got a one week break next week.
So am going to use that time to complete the PS2 game,
in case I don't ever get around to finishing it...
Don't think I'm going for the bai nian thing at all...
Just going to stay home.
What for?
After the flood and the damage it caused,
it doesn't feel like CNY at all.
This is the saddest CNY ever.
Going to see my not-very-close relatives would be just plain weird.
Don't think I'll even recognise them if I happen to see them in the streets.
That's how bad it is.
I don't know them at all.
My parents aren't close with them, too.

I actually hate CNY.
I don't get a lot of angbaos.
I hate CNY songs.
I'm like the Grinch.
He hates Christmas whereas I hate CNY.
But at the end he ends up loving Christmas.
But I don't see myself ever loving CNY.
I only like the bright decorations at home.
But one of them fell down.
My ma stuck it up again.
It fell down again.
Now it's lying somewhere, forgotten.

I love Eason Chen.
Bu Zhi Bu Jian made me cry.
I was thinking of some things at that time.

Yesterday was at Esplanade library with boyfriend.
Cuddling together and watching animation was nice.
Nice...
Hehe.
Then we saw Sam Leong outside the Esplanade near the bus stop.
Then he popped into a cab.
From what we gathered,
he had called a taxi and was waiting for the taxi.
He was looking nice.
Nice...
Hehe.
I have a thing for chefs. =/

Bf drew this birthday card for me.
Although it's a bit late and not fantastic,
nevertheless I still love it. (:

Sunday, February 11, 2007

I love the Esplanade Library.
And I love my boyfriend. (:

Saturday, February 10, 2007

New skin here.
I swore not to change skins no more but I just could not help it.
Am feeling bored.
BF's gone to a wedding dinner.
Let's see.
Feb 14 is around the corner!
It's great, huh?
Love..
I don't remember what I was doing last year on 14 Feb.
Probably snoring away while everyone went on dates.

My eye's better now.
Although still a little itchy.
I skipped school for two days because of this.

Thursday, February 08, 2007

It's my baby's 30th birthday today.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABY! (:

Tuesday, February 06, 2007

Today I had a fucking sore eyelid.
It wasn't the eye that was painful or sore, so eyemo or whatever wasn't going to help.
Felt as if the eyelid was going to clamp shut anytime.
And it didn't help matters with my sleepiness and with my class ending at 4pm.
So I had some fun with my N70.
I'm normally not very vain but I just took some crap photos anyway.
It's the bf's 30th birthday this Thursday.
I'm drawing a birthday card for him.
Much better than popping down to Popular or Hallmark to buy a birthday card.
It's turn out quite well, I think.
My sis drew one for him too.
When my sis bothers to do something like this for someone,
it means that the person is worthy enough for her time.
It means quite a lot.
She didn't even draw one for me lah.
Bugger.

I took these pics in Malaysia.
