Daryl's Birthday Celebration

Celebrated Daryl's 21st birthday on the 19th. Me, Huiling, and Joey headed to Orchard to look for shoes and after that met up with Parinee and we went to buy snacks and drinks and the cake. And then to our dismay, it was raining cows and monkeys outside, so naturally, our plans for the picnic at the Botanic Gardens was ruined. Thought of somewhere where there's shelter and where we can sit down and eventually settled on Esplanade Underground.

Things turned kind of wet after that. We took bus 162 to Esplanade, only to find out that the bus doesn't go to Esplanade, but to the bus stop opposite Fullerton Hotel. So we alighted there and braved the heavy drizzle as we walked across the long long bridge. Luckily I had an umbrella with me and Parinee had her hoodie jacket. So I shared the umbrella with Joey and Huiling and Parinee followed behind us.

When we reached Esplanade Underground it was about 4pm. We were 2 hours late! Clayton and Bee Yan were there already and they looked bored out of their mind. Then we took all the food out and started our, err, picnic. Right there at the Esplanade Underground where there were skaters and jugglers around. And then we played Clayton's Spongebob Monopoly. All I could say was, "I want to play Tumbling Block." cos the Monopoly game was very very long and draggy. Anyway, after Clayton left, we play Parinee's Tumbling Block. After a few rounds, we headed to Marina Square to get something to eat.

After that, we headed to Merlion Park and proceeded to act like tourists, frantically taking pictures of the night scene and the Merlion and the Esplanade. Then went home at about 9 plus.

Here are some photos. :)

They were taking photos of something but I didn't know what was so funny.

I was trying to stifle a laugh here.

The Oreo Cheesecake!

Birthday Boy making a wish.

Daryl cutting the cake!

The results of the cake after being cut by Daryl.

Daryl distributing the cake.

My slice of it.

Tumbling Block!

The Merlion's backside.

This can really be on a postcard.

We can either be tourists, or some very weird Singaporeans.

Me drinking the Merlion's vomit.

Huiling drinking the Merlion's vomit, too.

Pose for the Singapore Zoo! Say "SINGAPORE ZOO!!!" This was seriously hilarious.

Parinee and I taking pictures of each other taking pictures. The photos with me in them are in Parinee's camera.

Going home. :)

Update on Ethan Boy

I know I used to blog a lot about Ethan. I guess now he's old news haha. Okay, here's an overview on how the kid is doing. He's not a baby anymore. He's grown to look like a little boy now. He's 1 year and 2 months old. He runs around the house and wrecks havoc whenever he's not eating or sleeping. When he sees food, he absolutely must immediately have the food, especially if it's his milk or porridge. If you don't give him his milk or porridge when he wants it, he will squat on the floor and feign bawling his eyes out. Or he will get down on his hands and knees and slap the floor and cry as if to say what has he done to deserve this horrible fate.

And here's a visual update on this little boy.

And... Behold the hungry little boy!

AND.... THE NAKED LITTLE BOY!

You've got to forgive him, he's just curious. Teehee.

When he's sleeping, he's the world's most adorable boy. When he wakes up and wants his porridge, he's the world's most irritating shit.

But I still love him, and so does everybody else. :)

Went back to work today

Went back to work and everybody's peering at my face, looking for signs of chicken pox, or scars. And my reply to them was, "I've recovered already!"

And then Auntie Su laughingly told me our assistant manager had chicken pox on the same day as me too. And then while talking about Norman, the Finance guy, she burst out laughing and told me Norman has chicken pox too, and that really got me laughing. What? There's a minor chicken pox epidemic out there!

But that's a scary thought.

The day I spent with the bf at his push cart

Spent 8 hours with him. From now on it's going to be a rare occasion for spending so much time with him. He just opened his push cart outside the National Library, selling games.

The guy next door asked him if I am his sister. What? I look too young for him? Then I spent some time irritating him by calling him, "Korrrrrr...."

Am starting work tomorrow! :)
