I'm chicken pox-ed!

Huiling had it a few weeks ago, although it wasn't confirmed then. So she went to work, and I caught it from her. And it was only on Monday that my body showed the signs of chicken pox. Huiling called me a little after work and asked if I have chicken pox, cos 2 of her cousins and her brother have it. I looked myself in the mirror and was kind of freaked by the number of pimples on my face, and I told her, no, I've only got a lot of "pimples".

Then went to meet Peiying to go Mustafa cos she had to buy some things. While waiting for her at the bus interchange, I happened to glimpse at my hand, and noticed 2 spots. Okay... Then I whipped out the mirror and inspected my face and I went, "Surely not....?" I called up Huiling again to tell her but she sounded a little irritated, maybe because of the pressure of everyone blaming her that they got the virus from her.

I had a fever last Saturday. I was thinking maybe it was some kind of flu. But actually it was one of the symptoms of chicken pox.

So anyway, turned out Peiying and I didn't talk that much on Monday. Most of the time we were looking out for plain red tees that cost $2, headbands, and yellow pants, and she was shouting into my phone for quite some time. I was feeling lethargic and dreading the stupid virus. Well, went home quite late.

The next day, Tuesday, Huiling went with me to the polyclinic (thanks). Got a load of medication and 4 bottle of calamine lotion for the itch, of which I have only used once. And the 70 tablets which I've got to finish taking, makes my stool watery. And ever since Tuesday, I've been exiled to my room, cos Ethan is around during the day. I can't go out (the doc says it's illegal for me to go out before I fully recover), my ma insists that I can't eat a load of different food (bananas, mangoes, chicken, egg, chilli, cucumbers), she insists on cooking bland and tasteless food for me, I'm lonely ( I WANT THE BF!!!! ), and being alone in the room makes me think of some things and my hormones go absolutely off-the-hook. Oh man, this is going to be a looooooooooong week. And did I say this is going to be a long week? This is definitely going to be a hellofa long week. AND I still have not calculated the amount of money that I am supposed to have earned. Bugger.

PEIYING! I hope I have not spread this stupid virus to you. Although I guess you would have to check your body for symptoms in about 3 weeks time.

The Singapore Flyer

The bf and I went to check out the Singapore Flyer. But too bad it wasn't opened to the public yet, the security guard told us we could walk around the first level. There was a company function going on that day, we could see staff carting tables and chairs into the capsules.

Ah Meng's Funeral

I work at the Zoo. So it was natural that I went and took a look.

It was one of the saddest days at the zoo.

I'm 19!

I'm no longer a teenager now. Have finally grown into adult age. Feels kind of funny because I've just only recently felt more "womanly".

Anyway, the bf came over yesterday morning after his interview and bought me a cake!

I love fruit cakes. :)

And then after that things sort of went downhill after we arrived at Jurong East because I couldn't make up my mind where I wanted to go. He got a little annoyed. Sorry. Things perked up after 3pm, we decided to go to Jurong Point and he treated me to Ichiban Sushi. And then I went home feeling a little more happy.

Day spent at Chinese & Japanese Garden

Haven't got time to blog lately, so am going to update everything now.

Ended up going to Japanese Garden with the bf on the 23rd. First reason is cos we've run out of places to sight-see and the library gets a little boring once in a while. So, it's good to enjoy a little nature and get a little sun now and then. But man, that place is a great place for couples. The other people who are in the area are miles away. We didn't see a lot of people around that day, just the occasional grass-cutter or leaves-sweeper, or other couples looking to enjoy a quiet day out together.

So it was just me, the bf, and the sun. We went up a little slope and rested in a shelter but ended up staying there for quite a while, enjoying the warm breeze and each other's company as we lay our heads on each other's laps, in turn. There were no one around to disturb us, except for the few white storks picking about on the grass.

Oh yeah, and with a newly bought camera, comes a new found love for photography. Managed to shoot some pictures that day, but not a lot, though.
That's the monitor lizard we saw. This is actually the zoomed-in pic of the monitor lizard cos obviously I couldn't get too close to it. It escaped into the river when I went closer.
