Daryl's Birthday Celebration

Celebrated Daryl's 21st birthday on the 19th. Me, Huiling, and Joey headed to Orchard to look for shoes and after that met up with Parinee and we went to buy snacks and drinks and the cake. And then to our dismay, it was raining cows and monkeys outside, so naturally, our plans for the picnic at the Botanic Gardens was ruined. Thought of somewhere where there's shelter and where we can sit down and eventually settled on Esplanade Underground.

Things turned kind of wet after that. We took bus 162 to Esplanade, only to find out that the bus doesn't go to Esplanade, but to the bus stop opposite Fullerton Hotel. So we alighted there and braved the heavy drizzle as we walked across the long long bridge. Luckily I had an umbrella with me and Parinee had her hoodie jacket. So I shared the umbrella with Joey and Huiling and Parinee followed behind us.

When we reached Esplanade Underground it was about 4pm. We were 2 hours late! Clayton and Bee Yan were there already and they looked bored out of their mind. Then we took all the food out and started our, err, picnic. Right there at the Esplanade Underground where there were skaters and jugglers around. And then we played Clayton's Spongebob Monopoly. All I could say was, "I want to play Tumbling Block." cos the Monopoly game was very very long and draggy. Anyway, after Clayton left, we play Parinee's Tumbling Block. After a few rounds, we headed to Marina Square to get something to eat.

After that, we headed to Merlion Park and proceeded to act like tourists, frantically taking pictures of the night scene and the Merlion and the Esplanade. Then went home at about 9 plus.

Here are some photos. :)

They were taking photos of something but I didn't know what was so funny.

I was trying to stifle a laugh here.

The Oreo Cheesecake!

This can really be on a postcard.

We can either be tourists, or some very weird Singaporeans.

Huiling drinking the Merlion's vomit, too.

Pose for the Singapore Zoo! Say "SINGAPORE ZOO!!!" This was seriously hilarious.

Update on Ethan Boy

I know I used to blog a lot about Ethan. I guess now he's old news haha. Okay, here's an overview on how the kid is doing. He's not a baby anymore. He's grown to look like a little boy now. He's 1 year and 2 months old. He runs around the house and wrecks havoc whenever he's not eating or sleeping. When he sees food, he absolutely must immediately have the food, especially if it's his milk or porridge. If you don't give him his milk or porridge when he wants it, he will squat on the floor and feign bawling his eyes out. Or he will get down on his hands and knees and slap the floor and cry as if to say what has he done to deserve this horrible fate.

And here's a visual update on this little boy.

And... Behold the hungry little boy!

AND.... THE NAKED LITTLE BOY!

You've got to forgive him, he's just curious. Teehee.

When he's sleeping, he's the world's most adorable boy. When he wakes up and wants his porridge, he's the world's most irritating shit.

But I still love him, and so does everybody else. :)

Went back to work today

Went back to work and everybody's peering at my face, looking for signs of chicken pox, or scars. And my reply to them was, "I've recovered already!"

And then Auntie Su laughingly told me our assistant manager had chicken pox on the same day as me too. And then while talking about Norman, the Finance guy, she burst out laughing and told me Norman has chicken pox too, and that really got me laughing. What? There's a minor chicken pox epidemic out there!

But that's a scary thought.

The day I spent with the bf at his push cart

Spent 8 hours with him. From now on it's going to be a rare occasion for spending so much time with him. He just opened his push cart outside the National Library, selling games.

The guy next door asked him if I am his sister. What? I look too young for him? Then I spent some time irritating him by calling him, "Korrrrrr...."

Am starting work tomorrow! :)

Quick update

I'm at the bf's push cart with him! It's outside National Library.

Haw haw. 8 hours with him. :)

Exiled to my room again.

Asked my executive if I can return to work, cos I feel that I'm better. She told me better not, this stage is when the disease is still contagious. She asked me to return back to work only after my MC ends, which is until Monday. She told me she heard from her husband that if my MC hasn't ended and I go out, and people catch my disease, they can sue me. And she asked me to guai guai stay at home. And I'm like, "Okay... I'll stay at home."

Today is Wednesday. There are still Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday...

5 more days of being cooped up in the house. I spend most of this unwanted free time reading. But the books run out, and I have to go back to the library.

I went and met the bf again yesterday. Was supposed to meet him again today but I think I shouldn't. In case he gets it too. We kissed twice last night. OMG... Regrets regrets. I'm just praying he doesn't get it. But if he gets it, I'll have the excuse of going to his place to visit him, but all I want is to cuddle him. But I really, sincerely hope he doesn't get it.

This period of staying at home is very similar to that period of time when I had to stay home after the surgery for my infection. AND THAT IS DEPRESSING.

With all this free time, my mind tends to wander. I think of all the things I shouldn't be thinking about. Like. My. Boyfriend. Is. Seeing. His. Ex. Everyday. Because. They. Are. Working. Together.

I can't complain. Because I know what that will lead to. But he reads my blog. And baby, it's up to you if you want to have a talk about this.

It's not that I don't trust you. I know you love me. It's... jealousy. She can see you for 9 hours a day, but I can't.

I went out. Finally.

Finally stepped out of the house yesterday. Went to meet the bf at the National Library after his Japanese class. I feel that I've healed considerably, my pox have all dried up and what are left of them are only scabs. But not too many of them, some have already disappeared.

It was raining, so I grabbed his arm and we shared an umbrella and walked to Raffles City to have our lunch at Burger King, but bumped into my secondary school classmates Vernon, Fu Ping and another guy. Then after our meal we walked back to the National Library and the bf went to meet the guys in charge of the push carts outside the library. The bf rented one of them and his cart is officially open today.

Then we went into the library and found ourselves seated on a couch at a little corner. As we were reading he came and put an arm around me. I guess my senses were on high or something cos every one of his touches and caresses felt like they were filled with electricity. That's something he rarely does, you know, casually putting one arm around me, but I love it love it love it love it when he does that. I couldn't concentrate on my reading, my senses were all paying their 100% attention on his right hand, which was caressing and stroking my skin while he's reading. And then I was leaning into him and smiling to myself for quite some time. I really really really didn't want that moment to end but he signaled for us to go off 15 minutes before the library closed.

We rarely share intimate moments together, except for the times I go over to his place. I guess that's the reason why we cherish our time together and really appreciate each other's company. I think falling in love has made me a much much happier person and really, although our 2nd anniversary was over recently, I still feel like we're only at the beginning. I think overall, we're a very happy couple. We seldom fight, we treat each other well, we get along, we have fun. That's enough, isn't it?

Valentine's Day was over just recently. He got me a 1 metre long soft toy rose (and something else for my own pleasure) but really, everyday is Valentine's Day if the couple are happy.

Excuse me, I just need to release myself by writing all this once in a while. It's embarrassing to talk to people about my relationship, so this is the only medium to express my feelings regarding my love life.

Bored

As you can guess. I've nothing to do. So urm, I switched this damn machine on and stuck my eyes on the screen and flew through space. Nah. Just went around looking for a new skin and found this.

Kind of happy with it.

My cousin arrived earlier this afternoon. She's here to fill in the application form for the Poly intake. Or something. I have no idea.

I'm literally living in a bubble. In my own world. I haven't been out since Tuesday (that may be a good thing, with that darn terrorist escaping). Has the world changed?

Iwannagoout.Iwannagoout.Iwannagoout.Iwannagoout.Iwannagoout.
Letmeout.Letmeout.Letmeout.Letmeout.

I'll do nothing for the rest of the day. Except stare at this picture of Ngak.

Ngak!

I know this song is so 'last year', it's one of 881's soundtracks, but omigosh these days all this song does is get stuck in my head!

Ngak is hot!

I'm chicken pox-ed!

Huiling had it a few weeks ago, although it wasn't confirmed then. So she went to work, and I caught it from her. And it was only on Monday that my body showed the signs of chicken pox. Huiling called me a little after work and asked if I have chicken pox, cos 2 of her cousins and her brother have it. I looked myself in the mirror and was kind of freaked by the number of pimples on my face, and I told her, no, I've only got a lot of "pimples".

Then went to meet Peiying to go Mustafa cos she had to buy some things. While waiting for her at the bus interchange, I happened to glimpse at my hand, and noticed 2 spots. Okay... Then I whipped out the mirror and inspected my face and I went, "Surely not....?" I called up Huiling again to tell her but she sounded a little irritated, maybe because of the pressure of everyone blaming her that they got the virus from her.

I had a fever last Saturday. I was thinking maybe it was some kind of flu. But actually it was one of the symptoms of chicken pox.

So anyway, turned out Peiying and I didn't talk that much on Monday. Most of the time we were looking out for plain red tees that cost $2, headbands, and yellow pants, and she was shouting into my phone for quite some time. I was feeling lethargic and dreading the stupid virus. Well, went home quite late.

The next day, Tuesday, Huiling went with me to the polyclinic (thanks). Got a load of medication and 4 bottle of calamine lotion for the itch, of which I have only used once. And the 70 tablets which I've got to finish taking, makes my stool watery. And ever since Tuesday, I've been exiled to my room, cos Ethan is around during the day. I can't go out (the doc says it's illegal for me to go out before I fully recover), my ma insists that I can't eat a load of different food (bananas, mangoes, chicken, egg, chilli, cucumbers), she insists on cooking bland and tasteless food for me, I'm lonely ( I WANT THE BF!!!! ), and being alone in the room makes me think of some things and my hormones go absolutely off-the-hook. Oh man, this is going to be a looooooooooong week. And did I say this is going to be a long week? This is definitely going to be a hellofa long week. AND I still have not calculated the amount of money that I am supposed to have earned. Bugger.

PEIYING! I hope I have not spread this stupid virus to you. Although I guess you would have to check your body for symptoms in about 3 weeks time.

The Singapore Flyer

The bf and I went to check out the Singapore Flyer. But too bad it wasn't opened to the public yet, the security guard told us we could walk around the first level. There was a company function going on that day, we could see staff carting tables and chairs into the capsules.

Ah Meng's Funeral

I work at the Zoo. So it was natural that I went and took a look.

It was one of the saddest days at the zoo.

I'm 19!

I'm no longer a teenager now. Have finally grown into adult age. Feels kind of funny because I've just only recently felt more "womanly".

Anyway, the bf came over yesterday morning after his interview and bought me a cake!

I love fruit cakes. :)

And then after that things sort of went downhill after we arrived at Jurong East because I couldn't make up my mind where I wanted to go. He got a little annoyed. Sorry. Things perked up after 3pm, we decided to go to Jurong Point and he treated me to Ichiban Sushi. And then I went home feeling a little more happy.

Day spent at Chinese & Japanese Garden

Haven't got time to blog lately, so am going to update everything now.

Ended up going to Japanese Garden with the bf on the 23rd. First reason is cos we've run out of places to sight-see and the library gets a little boring once in a while. So, it's good to enjoy a little nature and get a little sun now and then. But man, that place is a great place for couples. The other people who are in the area are miles away. We didn't see a lot of people around that day, just the occasional grass-cutter or leaves-sweeper, or other couples looking to enjoy a quiet day out together.

So it was just me, the bf, and the sun. We went up a little slope and rested in a shelter but ended up staying there for quite a while, enjoying the warm breeze and each other's company as we lay our heads on each other's laps, in turn. There were no one around to disturb us, except for the few white storks picking about on the grass.

Oh yeah, and with a newly bought camera, comes a new found love for photography. Managed to shoot some pictures that day, but not a lot, though.
That's the monitor lizard we saw. This is actually the zoomed-in pic of the monitor lizard cos obviously I couldn't get too close to it. It escaped into the river when I went closer.
