The Big Deal About VivoCity

Ahhh...
Just went to take a shit.

You know how the teachers have been drilling the fact into our little brains that Singapore's land is
limited since we were in primary school?
You know how Singapore has never, ever stopped its drilling and banging and construction work.
I sometimes wonder when the construction will ever stop.
Okay, since land is so limited,
why are there so many shopping centres in Singapore?
Does a country the size of a dot on the world map need so many shopping centres?
I find the idea of VivoCity stupid.
Why do we need such a big shopping centre,
when most of the shops there can be easily found in shopping centres along Orchard Road.
And the fact that VivoCity is located near Harborfront, way down in the south,
I wouldn't go that far just to go to a shopping centre.
Since I haven't been there yet,
I may go there just once,
just to see what's the big deal about.
The only times i go to Harborfront is when I need to go to Sentosa or Kusu Island or St. John's Island.
WHY IS IT SUCH A BIG DEAL?!!

The features of VivoCity are:
* Singapore's largest multiplex cinema
* A brand new concept hypermarket
* Department store
* Flagship lifestyle concept stores
* Over 1 million sq. ft. of retail, F&B and entertainment concepts
* Rooftop play pool, the area of 4 Olympic swimming pools
* 300m waterfront promenade
* Open-air amphitheatre
* Open-air courtyard on Level 2 featuring engaging and interactive water features
* Event spaces

Is it such a big deal?

Camera Whores. Yuck.

I dislike camera whores.
What's the big deal about their faces?

Going to Kusu island!

Turns out he's leaving on Monday.
It still sucks lah.
But I can see him one more time.
Turns out I'm probably going to fail my Principles of Marketing and Production Management exam.
Whatever.
Just wait for the results lor.
It takes damn long for them to grade and send the results by mail.
So now exams are over I'm once again wasting time on the PSP.
Not healthy hor?
I should probably go to the library and read.
But school starts next week.
Next term's modules are Business Statistics and Fundamentals of Information Technology.
Haha, is IT going to be easy?
Hmm.
Next week my two aunts are coming over from Malaysia.
They want to visit Kusu Island, the land of tortoises.
Think I've never been there before.
But tortoises are boring.
You don't go, "Hey John, hurry up and take the photo, I don't want the tortoise in the background to run
away."
But I've never been there before, so no harm checking it out.
I've got it all planned out.
We're going to take the bus 143 from Toa Payoh Interchange to Harbourfront and catch the ferry to Kusu
Island.
Yay, it'll be a blast.

well...

So now I'm trying to study for my Principles of Marketing and Production Management exam tomorrow.
The Business Law paper on Monday wasn't so bad.
We are not in the right to complain, lecturers give us study guides before exams,
most of the tips they give are spot on.
They want us to pass what.
We of course must pass also.
Give them so much money for fuck?

My baby just went to Yishun camp to hand in his army stuff to be flown to Australia,
and be briefed about stuff.
He may be going tomorrow or on Saturday.
Sucks right?
No boyfriend for 3 weeks.

Was on the bus a few days ago when I saw this ad on TV Mobile showing Robbie Williams'
new album.
I'm wondering which way his music road is turning.
I haven't heard his new song or new album,
but I'm starting to doubt him.
His music is getting... weird.
Ever since 'Rock DJ'.
I think it's crap.

I'm a big fan.
Maybe of his music a few years ago.
His new album is called Rudebox, by the way.
Got to check that out.

When I go to Malaysia in December maybe it will be out by then.
Psst. Those pirated ones.
Should I be posting this on my blog?
Ahem.
I didn't say I was going to buy.
But I want My Chemical Romance's new album, The Black Parade.
Their music rocks, their music videos rock even more.
PHWAH!

Lastly...
What to do when you meet a robber/rapist/sex maniac/flasher/crazy man:

1) Kick him in the balls.
2) Stab him in te eye.
3) Scream as loud as you can.
4) Get a bloody policeman.

Not so exciting day

So yesterday went to meet him to go army market to buy some stuff for him to go to
Australia.
He's leaving on Thursday, and it'll be 3 whole weeks until I see him again.
Wish he could pack me into one of his bags and bring me with him.
Anyway, after we bought his things,
we went to this deserted shopping centre called The Concourse.
I've never been there before, and inside so few people.
We had dinner there and went Bugis to watch movie.
We watched the Sinking of Japan.
Quite nice leh.

an exciting day

Phwah.
Yesterday was an eventful day.
Went to meet my friend in the morning to go to school to hand in the insurance forms.
He was at Toa Payoh stadium doing his army fitness test,
has to do it before he gets locked up in December.
He did everything well but didn't pass the sit and reach haha.
So we took the bus to school with his constant chattering in my ear.
I tell you, that man has buckets to say!
I gave an occasional nod and 'yah lor' and started a discussion too but most of the time
he was the one talking.
Then we walked from our school to Queensway Shopping Centre and ate laksa there.
The only time he didn't talk was when eating the laksa.
You all know I have this habit of burping,
so after finishing the laksa I burped.
And the laksa came up and went into my windpipe!
Having water up that tube is already horrible enough,
but laksa?!
I was choking and choking and hurried off to buy myself some coconut water with two
slices of coconut inside.
Cost me $1.
It's nice.

We talked a lot.
Relationships, money, soccer bookies, rich girls, his fitness test...
I don't mind his constant chatter lah,
but I find it funny that he can talk so much.
But his topics are not those crap and irrelavant stuff but the topics that matter and
are realistic.
You'll never get bored with him.

I then went home,
to be bombarded by my ma.
She handed me a letter and told me a lawyer sent us a letter.
Lawyer send letter very jialat on leh!
I read read read.
Eh?
Actually the address is addressed to the wrong person,
but to the correct address.
Last time my pa and his friend signed up for a Singtel phone plan.
Those cheap cheap plans whereby you can register one person's name and have two lines.
Then my pa's friend that time got cheated by his China mistress who took all his money
and he went a bit crazy.
Then that time he chatted with the mistress for very long until the phone bill very
expensive.
But then after that he went crazy and nobody want to pay the phone bill.
So Singtel is going to sue lor.
We are the ones who are mistakened, so we must make it clear right.
So I ended up calling the lawyer.
He said it's ok.
Singtel give them two addresses so they send two letters,
but the party who is responsible must pay Singtel within 7 days or they will
take LEGAL ACTION.
7 days already.
They refuse to pay.
Hahaha.

he's gonna die

Remember the case of Ah How killing the little girl?
The decision has been made,
looks like he'll be in hell soon.
President Nathan didn't accept all the signatures.
Poor thing lor, I did sign for him.

I'm still so sleepy.
Later have to meet my friend and go to school to hand in some school fees insurance thing.
Bad timing leh, they send the forms this week.
I this week no school lah.
Thinking about the upcoming exams next week gives me a headache.
Thinking about my baby leaving for Australia next week gives me a heartache.

prata-over-consumption.

Last night went to celebrate PY's birthday at Prata House at Upper Thomson.
Actually supposed to go for steamboat at Marina Bay,
then changed to Junction8,
then change to steamboat at Ang Mo Kio,
then changed to Prata House.
We're a bunch of indecisive people.
Last afternoon I already had two pieces of plain prata that my ma bought,
then at night I ate 3 more.
Ice cream prata, cheese prata and plain prata.
5 pratas in a day!
I'm going to die of prata-over-consumption.

I should start studying hor,
next week exams liao.

poor guy jumping the tracks and big news to dear old ma

I'm sure you've all heard of the case of the poor (I mean literally) man jumping the tracks
at Chinese Garden MRT station, if not, you really live under a rock.
As my friend remarked, you cannot die of hunger in Singapore, but you can die of poorness.
As in really go and plug yourself because you're so poor, you can't afford to pay your
water and electricity bills.
That's a real life example.
A sad story, really.
The family practically survived on instant noodles and porridge and vegetables.
But the death may be a blessing, but of cos the grief at first, to the family, the two sons and the widow.
They've received over 500K from people all over Singapore.
Spending the rest of their lives won't be a problem then.
I mean, they're rich.
It's a sad story lah, but get a little publicity, all the money comes rolling in.
Not I don't sympathise with them hor, but I'm stating the fact.

This afternoon I told my old ma I have a boyfriend.
She was like, 'Want to die arh?! Your studies more important! The money I give you is not
for free hor! What if you fail how?!' and yada yada.
As if I will let my studies interfere with other things.
Although I'm mentally unstable, I know what is my first priority.
Funnily enough, she then got interested, and want to know more about him.
So I gladly filled in the details.
Where he lives, all about his family, his job, his personality...
Of cos I added in all the pluses.
Like he's going to start a business soon, and he's honest and won't bully people..
Haha.
I even told her his age.
She was a bit shocked.
But I'm surprised she took it lightly.
I told her age is not the problem.
She told me it's not that she don't want to let me have a boyfriend, but I'm still young
and next time still got lots of time to look for boyfriend.
But she knows me lah, I want means I want.
And she was young before, she knows how I feel.
And I'm turning 18 next year.
Young adult already leh, I can decide my future on my own.
Deep down inside I know she believes in me, that I can make it on my own, without her.
And I think she's quite happy I have a boyfriend,
every mother does.

Soon I'm bringing him home.
And we can discuss wedding plans.
And I'll invite you to my wedding.
And Kitson wants to drive for me.
Haha.

PY's birthday!

Today is PY's birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEIYING!!!
We've been friends for almost 3 years now.
Among the 5 of us, I think you are the more normal and sensible one.
Whereas the rest of us are all crazy, screws all drop on the floor for dunno how many times
already.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

right

I'm bored outta my head.
I spent more than 50 hours on a stupid game but I still can't beat the big boss at the end.

Thursday, October 12, 2006

I wonder what happened to Rockson.
So long never blog already.
Crap about the gahmen so much.
Fucked by gahmen already lah.
Life's a bore these days.
I'm spending too little time studying,
and too much time on my bf's PSP.
I'm amazed by myself sometimes.
I actually spent more than 35 hours on a single RPG game!
That's like, a lot of time, man.
I'm now starting on another game,
the back of the cover promised me at least 50 hours of fun.
Riight.

Today school was boring as usual.
Had lessons until 4pm.
We like to spice up boring lessons,
by chatting non-stop of course!
It was so funny, man!
I mean our conversations.
But somehow our conversations would turn to sex,
then... *AWKWARD PAUSE*

Our lecturer damn dulan.
Classroom macam market like that.

Right.
Got to finish up the assignments which I haven't started on,
which is due next Monday and Tuesday.
And exams are around the corner.
The next term would be the last,
and the course is completed.
Two of my classmates don't plan to take up the Advanced course.
Reason?
They want to work.
But they have to understand leh,
this is a private institution diploma course.
Not take the cert already then go out can anyhow get a job.
For one, we cannot work for the gahmen.
Gahmen jobs are usually the ones which bring in the cash.
Like me, at least get an Advanced Dip, if lucky, still can get some job.
My friends are not poor leh,
they got money to study but dowan to study.
My friend says she dowan to use her parents money.
I also dowan!
But I no choice leh.
Use their money first, then next time slowly pay back.
Then I go for a higher degree.
For me, to get a doctrate ah, Ph.D,
Still need 11 years.
Grow white hair already lo!
But can be 'Dr' leh.
I must strive as high as I can.
YESSSS!
This is the last term of my Business Management course.
I thought it would be a breeze, just pass then can get diploma cert already.
But I've yet to go through this ordeal of passing Business Statistics.
I thought BS would be some stupid module that would require only a little of Math.
But this is what? The second unit only and I'm already having a headache.
What about the rest of the units?
Die lah!
I'm a sucker at Math.
A real big sucker.

Tuesday, October 10, 2006

The Monkey Next Door came over to play the other day.
Haven't been blogging for so long.
My life these days not very happening leh.
School is not happening also.
The only interesting thing is exam is coming soon.

Tuesday, October 03, 2006

These days it seems like I'm not always in school.
I've got my classmates to back me up.
Haha help me to sign the attendance of course.
Nono, I was in school today.
But halfway through, during break time,
a sudden wave of nausea hit me.
The guys didn't help it by talking about a video my friend watched,
about a girl digging into her throat to puke everything into a bowl,
then drank it back up.
And she even burped.
DOUBLE YUCKS.
I went home.
But not before throwing up at the bus stop first.
I walked around trying to prepare myself by looking for a suitable spot.
I found a longkang.
Then BLEAGH!!
Everything I ate this morning came up.
Then I took a cab home, for fear I would puke in the bus and make an ass of myself.
In the cab I spotted some NTUC plastic bags.
The cabbie must pick up late night partying people all the time haha.
I breathed a sigh of relieve.
But throughout the cab journey until now, at home,
I haven't puked at all.
I should have stayed in school.
And puked in my friend's face.

Monday, October 02, 2006

Life's a bore these days.
Going to school is a chore.
Waking up in the morning is a chore.

Watched Oprah in the evening.
In the past I never thought Oprah would be such an eye-opening show.
Today a dog came to the show.
Not just any dog, but a dog without both her front legs.
To move herself around, she had to learn to walk on her hind legs,
like a human.
She was born without her front legs,
and her current owners had saved her from being smothered by her mother
just after she was born.
I got a terrible shock when I first saw the dog, but afterwards I became even more sad.

A boy was also featured in the show.
When he was six, he witnessed his father killing his wife,
then afterwards, the father stabbed the boy six times in the face, neck, and stomach.
The amazing thing was, despite the severe wounds,
he managed to dial 911 and the police and paramedics were there just in time,
before his father went back to the room and found that he was still alive.
He said there were angels to guide him.
They carried him to the phone and told him to play dead, so that his father did not
kill him.

Another guy was featured in the show.
He has Tourette Syndrome, a sickness where the person does not have full control of his
muscles.
The man can't control the noises that he makes, and his face twitches.
I noticed a guy in my class who also has this syndrome, probably very mild.
He occasionally twitches his neck, and he blinks a lot.
Not normal blinking, but those blinks when you blink really hard.

The last one was Warren MacDonald.
His legs were crushed by a huge boulder when he went hiking in the mountains with his
friend.
He was trapped under the rock for 45 hours,
and eventually his legs had to be amputated.
I read about his story in a Readers' Digest issue a few years ago,
and I watched the show, 'I Shouldn't Be Alive' on Discovery Channel.
Although he has to use thouse false metal legs as replacement for his legs,
he still goes mountain climbing and hiking.
That's inspirational.

Almost during every episode of Oprah,
I have a reason to be inspired and emotional.
Not in school.
See no point in being in school.
Lousy mood.

Things happen,
I don't want to lose the friendship but...
my temper can get the most out of me sometimes.
I don't usually express myself a lot but my temper does.
It always manages to bring everything out from within.
You won't like it.

Saturday, September 30, 2006

When having breakfast this morning,
my ma asked me how many fishballs there are in the fishball noodles,
when I tried to answer her,
I bit my tongue.
Not the side of the tongue, you know.
The tip arh!
Now it's just numb.
I think my sense of taste will go haywire today.
I think I can't taste anything leh.

Friday, September 29, 2006

Early in the morning someone is drilling something upstairs.
No consideration leh, these people.
Fuck, now he's banging away.
I'll plug into my ITunes with my old-fashioned-super-huge-ear-muffs-like headphones.
But the music quality is good, you know.
Someone should suggest to Apple to make these huge headphones to come with IPod.
Nirvana rocks okay.
SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT!

Actually however much we hate the Indian lecturer,
sometimes lessons are exciting too.
Yesterday another guy got into trouble with him,
he was being rude of course.
Not going to go into details cos I think you're probably bored by the things happening in
my class.

After class, walked to Queensway MRT with my classmates.
We talked about true love.
My friend does not see a problem with having a much older girlfriend/boyfriend.
Of course he knows that my boyfriend is 29.
I don't see it as a problem either.
True love conquers all.
Haha.
My that friend, he's seen a lot of things.
I'd say he's very experienced in a lot of aspects,
although being just 19.
He told me he has a friend who's also 19,
who has a boyfriend that's 50 years old.
PHWAH!
Can fight with her father already leh!
My other friend remarked that probably she goes for the money.
Yes he's quite well off, some company's GM.
My friend said that at first she was with him for the money.
But afterwards it became love.
But I told him maybe because after some time, being with him became a habit.
But my friend don't believe, say it's true love.
He said there was once the bf went overseas for business for a week,
the gf called my friend in the midddle of the night,
crying, and saying she miss him.
One week only.
I'll have to bear three weeks when he goes to Australia in November.

Somemore the parents don't object leh!
PHWAH!

Another thing,
I hate people who keep reapplying their make-up.
Be it male or female.
Yesterday on the way to school in the bus.
There was this super vain girl sitting in front of me.
Didn't look any older than me.
She was applying her lipstick over and over again.
And her whatever powder.
Apply until quite scary leh.
And she was staring at herself in the mirror half of the bus journey.
YUCKS.

My boyfriend so shy leh, don't dare to kiss me in public.
So I kiss him lor.
Haha.

Wednesday, September 27, 2006

Watched Oprah yesterday evening, so decided to write this blog.
Do you know that there are one school drop out every nine seconds?
That's a million drop outs every year.
And not all of them make to graduation day.
Cities like New York only have 50+% graduation.
And the school building conditions are horrible.
Peeling paint, leaking ceilings, broken toilets...
You'd think that such a rich country would have good facilities in schools,
but schools in Singapore have schools in better conditions.
So that's why...
you small children har, must study hard.
If not your parents will chuck you in some smelly and dirty school in America.

Then watched Stories of Love at night.
Nice show leh, every week got different stories about well... love.
Last night's was about a woman's friend who went to screw her boyfriend.
Then the friend got pregnant and the woman found out and chucked her boyfriend blah blah.
The boyfriend was played by Randall Tan.
Randall Tan cute leh!
He has two dogs... and a wife.

You know yesterday I didn't attend school hor,
that Indian bastard didn't bring the attendance list again!
Someone ought to shoot him.
Not the first time liao.
I think I'll shoot him myself.

My friends ask me to go KBox on Friday.
I think I'd rather play XBox.
Not my type leh, karaeok.
I think the boom box will probably explode when I start singing.
And my friend said he want to remember Zhang Guo Rong by singing his songs.
I can listen ahh... but cannot sing.
Phwah.

Tuesday, September 26, 2006

Okay lor.
Hady Mirza was crowned the second Singapore Idol last night.
Such a pity.
I thought Jon sounded and looked more like the Singapore Idol.
These two years both winners are Malay leh.
The whole Singapore don't even have one Chinese who is good enough meh?
You see the Top 12, Chinese more or Malay more?
I didn't root for Hady cos I thought he makes fame and popularity a big thing.
Like the biggest advantage is being in Orchard Road and everybody knows who he is.
Believe me, he said that before.
Whereas Jon more humble lah,
say coming this far has made him more confident and this is the thing he has has been
dreaming for so long.
Hady fans are going to shoot me.

By the way, after Sunday's 'non-vote' sms,
I didn't vote again last night.
Maybe my one vote really counts hor?
But so expensive leh.
Last time 50 cents, now 60 cents.
Everything must become more expensive these days hor?
Fuck lah,
stupid gahmen.

Not in school now.
Cos I have a stupid lecturer.
Blah lah, the Bollywood superstar.
When he teaches, we listen but don't bother to be enthusiastic and all that.
Then he dowan teach leh.
He just stand there and look at us.
At the end of the lesson,
we asked for the attendance list,
he just said, "I didn't bring it, you can sign it tomorrow."
WHAT THE FUCK?!
Where got this kind of lecturer?
Can forget to bring attendance list one meh?
I think he really broke a lecturer rule this time!
Someone must complain!
The school stresses how you must attend every lesson and sign your attendance at the end
of the day, but how can the lecturer forget to bring!
I wasted yesterday lah.
Business Law is interesting, but my lecturer sucks.

Last night watched Top Model.
Jade sucks right.
Poor Gina.
But she's weak lah.
Let this kind of little things take over her,
until she can't do anything right.
She like that hor, shouldn't join the competition.
But she's pretty leh.

I can't help it.
I have to put these photos of my neighbour's dog.
She's so cute!
Then again, why am I always posting pictures.

Monday, September 25, 2006

So I was at PY's house yesterday.
Talked about some issues.
Then at night we ordered Canadian Pizza, PY's grandma's suggestion.
Some pictures:

Her grandma's so cute.
I wish I have my grandma living with me, like PY and Huiling's.
Watched the finals of Singapore Idol while waiting for pizza.
I think Hady sang better, but I'm rooting for Jon.
But it doesn't matter who wins in the end, they're both good.
I wanted to vote, and I happily sent in an sms.
But after maybe half an hour,
Gurmit Singh said, "Singapore, this is the moment you've been waiting for,
THE LINES ARE OPENED."
I was like, "WHAT THE FUCK?!"
I voted before the lines are opened!
Dunno whether that stupid sms cost 60 cents not.

Damn suay last night.
Then after PY's house, on the way home in the bus,
I dropped my phone.
It was in the Singtel paper bag PY gave me to put the Bleach CDs that Ben returned me,
when the bus suddenly braked,
the paper bag fell to the floor,
and my phone flew out.
You know the SBS buses floors are like fucking sandpaper.
And somemore my phone slide on the floor for quite a long distance.
For the second time that night, I was like, "WHAT THE FUCK?!"
The people were like, "PHWAH! This dumb girl so suay, N70 drop on the floor leh!"
Everybody stared, but nobody helped to pick up my things.
Fucking typical Singaporeans.
My phone now got major scratches lah.
Fucking sandpaper bus floor.
Fucking Singaporeans.
Fucking Gurmit Singh.
Fuck lah.
KNNBCCB.

I just realised i like rap music, gangsta rap all that.
Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent.
I like Sean Paul too, but dunno what the hell he talking.
I'm going to download.

I like Fruit Tree Orange juice too.
So nice.
Better than Absolut fucking Vodka.

Sunday, September 24, 2006

Was at East Coast Park with Huiling, Sock Hoon, and Fiona.
Ride bicycle lor.
Play at the beach lor.
They brought clothes, but I didn't.
Cos they didn't say anything about it.
They say it's common sense.
But sometimes people really have no common sense!
And I'm so sunburnt, my arms hurt.
Both my arms are burnt, and my face too, and my nose is red.
But my arms now have a glowing red-brown beautiful colour.
None of them are sunburnt. Why am I always the one.

Anyway, here are some pictures.

My sunburnt face. Haha.

Friday, September 22, 2006

Did you ever asked your lecturer how much he's paid to teach?
My lecturer earns $125/hr for Degree courses,
$85 for Advanced Diploma,
and $75 for Diploma.
To think I was working my butt off at the restaurant, earning a measly $5 per hour.
Blah.
You know, when I was a kid,
I secretly dreamed to be the President.
Such a... big role.
The leader of a country.
I thought it was very cool.
I dare not tell people my secret ambition.
I knew they would laugh.
So that's why I'm only telling you now.
Cos that stupid ambition is in the past.
Now I want to be Prime Minister.
He does more work.
Nah, kidding.

If I were to be a boy,
I'd want to be a fireman.
But turns out I'm a girl lah.
So being a fireman is my second secret ambition.
I always loved the big red truck.

My secret ambition now?
To conquer the world.

Thursday, September 21, 2006

Just had lunch.
Downstairs fishball noodles (YUM!).
Somehow everybody knows me hor.
The auntie knows me.
Pwhah.
I had a sneezing fit this morning,
where mucus nonchalantly dribbled from my nostrils.
I like that funny feeling.
Don't be gross,
of course I didn't stick out my tongue and lick it all up.

Just remembered that we didn't watch the Family Guy movie at PY's house yesterday.
That's the reason we went to PY's house.

Yesterday that stall hor,
was at a kopitiam.
Funny to find such a stall in a kopitiam.
The stall itself got so many employees already.
And the kopitiam didn't have a lot of people.
But have a lot of birds.
Few people.
But many birds.
Sparrow, mynah, crows and pigeons.
Come and ask me the hokkien words for sparrow and mynah.
Haha I know them.
Give you a hint.
It ends with a "jiao".

And yesterday bought Lime magazine.
So early publish the October issue.
But maybe it's because of the Idol craze.
Of course it's the last two Idols, Jonathan and Hady.
I support Jonathan,
but if the final two was Hady and Jasmine,
I'd root for Hady.
Hady not bad lah.
Tough choice this time.
Malay or Chinese?
Chinese or Malay?
Indian?
No, don't have Indian.
And yes, this will be the final Singapore Idol.
No more season 3.
Pack your bags, everyone.

Guess what?
Halfway through Project Runway,
a flying cockroach happily zoomed into my living room last night.
It was FUCKING HUGE!
First reaction was to grab the sofa cushion and use it as a shield on top of my head,
second reaction was to dive for cover in my room, door slammed shut.
But to think about it, second reaction should probably be grabbing the insecticide and
spraying it at the darn creature for all it's worth.
I did that, third reaction actually, or maybe delayed reaction.
But the thing is, it flew to my kitchen and attached itself to the kitchen ceiling.
I held up the insecticide can and sprayed it like an air fresherner.
Dazed, and a little poison,
it fell and wriggled its hairy legs on the floor.
I then sprayed at it again.
Then it died.
Fourth reaction, I raised both my hands in triumph, with the insecticide in my right hand.
It's not easy leh.
Flying Cockroach VS Scurrying Cockroach.
You think which one easier to take down?
Must aim properly leh, if not you end up poisoning everyone in the house.
PHWAH!
One of my biggest achievements. (:

Just back from PY's house.
PY and I and Huiling went fot dao huay and Botak Jone's just now.
PY has got a new phone, the Nokia slide-up 3G phone which I think is quite fantastic too.
Oh, and Benjamin came by too.
This is the picture of the $17 burger set meal,
which the three of us shared.

And this picture, I like!

[All photos are courtesy of my Nokia 70 2.0 Megapixel camera. Teehee.]
At Huiling's house again.
Going to meet PY later for dao huay.
There's a contest she's going to join to win a Nokia N73.
Darn.
Now I've got my N70, got more good phones coming up.
School is
BOREDOM.
Was going to fall asleep halfway through class when I managed to get hold of the attendance booklet.
Quickly signed it and ran off.
Today's new module was PMPM.
Principles of Marketing and Production Management I think.
Lecturer is better than Business Law's.
At least he knows how to crack jokes, and has a sense of humour.
But 10 mins into the lesson he's already joking,
how fast is that?
But the module's boring lah.
Like everything else.

Tuesday, September 19, 2006

Oh no, school's getting boring again.
Some parts of Business Law is interesting but it makes me sleepy.
Mr. Blah really has a problem with my friend, Kitson.
He was teaching and caught Kitson chatting.
Then he purposely asked Kitson a question about something he was teaching just now.
Kitson gave him a blank look, then uttered some rubbish.
Just because of that Mr. Blah asked to speak with him outside the class.
PHWAH!
Made him lose face leh.
Right, so I managed to get my password.
I was right, I got a lecture from my pa.
He gave me a black face.
But he was immediately all-smiles when he talked to the Singnet operation officer on the phone.
When I first called the hotline,
I got a Chinese-sounding guy.
But when I told him my pa couldn't speak English,he immediately told me,
'I'll get you someone who speaks Mandarin.
He got me a Mandarin-speaking lady, she is Malaysian.
But anyway, I got my password.
I love blogging. (:
Blog blog blog blog blog blog blog!

Monday, September 18, 2006

With the computer fixed, there was another problem.
I had thrown away my Singnet password.
Sounds stupid right?
Yep, I managed to do that.
You know that part when you sign in to something,
it will have the 'remember me' thing?
I typed in my login ID and password and checked the box for that.
Then I didn't bother to write down the password somewhere.
Then all of a sudden, when I tried to connect to my Broadband,
the password wasn't there!
I tried to recall, but it was like trying to remember how it felt like when I popped out
my ma's virgina.
Then I realised the only thing that has my password on it was when Singnet sent me the
letter with the ID and password.
And damn, I had thrown it away.
And that's how I threw away my password.
That was how I ended up with no internet, and a broken computer.

I called Singnet and asked them for the password,
but they needed my pa to talk to them,
cos the bill's under his name.
But my pa comes home in the evening!
And the hotline closes at 6pm.
I tried to tell them that, they said,
'No, we need your father to speak to us.'
I'm like, 'Screw you, I need the goddamn password.'
They suggested I call him at work.
But I know him,
he'll be like, 'My work more important or your stupid password more important?'
Then all I can do is wait for him to get home,
kiao his kah on the table,
then sheepishly ask him to call Singnet for me,
but going through his lecture on keeping important things properly first.
I'll get it somehow.

Enough of that.
Today was the first day of Term 3.
Which means, new lecturer, new module.
Lecturer is by the name of Blah,
a 30-something fit-looking Indian man.
No sign of a belly.
He can be a Bollywood superstar.
Bollllywood.
Module is Business Law.
PHWAH!
Sounds exciting leh!
But wait til you see the book.
It's 3cm thick. (Yes, I measured)
Quite thick for a book leh.
For the rest of the 3 hours I didn't understand what he was saying.
Except for Subordinate Courts, and two more whatever courts.
I only know Courts, the sell electronics and furniture one.

Something exciting happened.
Mr. Blah took our attendance.
He called out my friend, Kitson's, name.
The classroom big, therefore when he look in one direction,
he cannot see the other end of the class.
He happened to not see where Kitson was sitting.
Then Kitson made a birdie noise, to catch Mr. Blah's attention.
Mr. Blah didn't like it.
Talked to him after he took everyone's attendance.
Something about, 'As friends, you can do that. But this is a class, you are the student,
and I'm the lecturer, we are of different positions.'
That kind of bullshit.
I only managed to catch his last sentence, 'No hard feelings.'
Cos Kitson was looking pissed.
But everything turned out okay.

I understood the last 'No hard feelings' part.
Cos this is a private institution, the kids are rich.
If they dulan one lecturer,
the kid complain to Daddy and Mommy,
then the lecturer die liao.
That's why lecturers are scared.
Cannot go overboard.
If they go overboard, their rice bowl also kena overboard.
This is the society nowadays, sad to say.

I no choice lah.
I'm no rich kid.
That's why have to guai guai listen to lecturer.
That's why parents brought me up to be the 'listen to teacher, or you DIE' kind of kid.
Lucky I'm this kind of kid, hor?
If not I'll be everyone's nightmare.
Yours, too.

Whees!
I fixed my computer!
But with a little help from my baby of course.
I thought he sounded a little annoyed on the phone.
I was interrupting his fish tank cleaning session.
His fish was getting increasingly irritated by that murky and smelly water.
But now I have no hamster cage to clean. :(

It feels good to have a good computer again. :)
Yesterday I was at the National Library with him in the afternoon.
Had lunch at Fish & Co.
I had fish and chips.
Given the price, the fish was big too.
I ate the fish and the side order sotong then couldn't get the fries down.

You know why they call it fish and chips?
I think it's because it's invented in England.
The English call fries, chips.
But in Singapore, we call them French Fries, like in America.

If fish and chips was invented in America,
we could be calling them fish and fries, aye?

Blah.
I love blogging. :)

So now I'm at Huiling's house once again.
Supposed to be studying, but...
I said the same thing the last time but I always end up managing to study last minute and get through it.
Haha.
I'm confident that I can do well for that paper I did on Monday cos,
well, the lecturer gave us hints that all came out.
As some people say, private diploma holders paid money to get their certs.
They close one eye mah,
as long as the lecturers don't directly tell us the questions that will come out for exams then he isn't breaking the school rule lor.
But this lecturer teaches for the money lah.
It's just a job to him.
Unlike Peggy Yeo.
She's like, devoted and compassionate and stuff, about teaching.
She makes sure that her students do well, so she'll feel proud of them when they get good results.
Now, that's what a call a good teacher.
Unlike some people who teaches the wall at the back.

I don't have a thing against him lah.
But...
Okay maybe I have something against him.

I feel this time round the Econs paper will be easier,
cos I pay attention and do my homework and Peggy is proud of me.
I'll only be a good student to a good teacher.
But it'll be my loss if I'm a bad student to a bad teacher, aye?
I study in the dark.
And get good grades no matter what.
Somehow I manage to pull it off in the end.
I know one day I won't be able to pull it off again.
The first one being my O Levels.
And landing in a private diploma institution.
Hahs.

Just had dinner at Fiona's house?
Wanna see some photos of our dinner?
No?
Don't care, I'm going to show you.

The sambal brinjour (err?) we had.

The scrabble we played just now.

Huiling's plate, so much food left!
Haha actually I chucked the celery from my soup to her soup,
and those are my tomatoes.

The sambal fish we had, which Fiona did not touch at all cos chilli might have killed her.

Dinner was so nice!

Cos I love chilli (haha Fiona).

So I'm at Fiona's house now.
Came here with Huiling for a game or two, of Scrabble and Monopoly.
I know I should be studying.
Huh?

Thursday, September 07, 2006

Next week's the start of my exams.
I want to say who cares? But I have to care.
If fail have to take sub paper, if fail again have to remodule.
$300 plus $15 GST.
Take sub paper is $30 I think.
Stress leh, so much to study.
But I'm at Fiona's house with Huiling too.
Was going to plau Monopoly but can't find it.
I should be studying now right.

I'm bored so I've uploaded some photos.

This is a photo of my hamster when she was alive,

although it looks like she dead here.

This is a photo of my dying hamster.

She was struggling to stay alive the whole time,

it made me heart ache.

This is a photo of my cousins and I.

Note how we are all doing different things.

I'm the one in the green overalls.

I loved to wear overalls when I was a kid.

The toddler there is my sis.

She looked like a boy when she was a kid.

This is the celebration of my 3rd birthday.

It was held at my grandma's place, in Malaysia.

Those are my cousins.

I'm the short one right in front of the cake.

Wednesday, September 06, 2006

Do not fret, my lovelies who are loyal to my blog.
I will be blogging in books soon.

My computer spoil lah.
Anyone can help me?
When I connect to the internet immediately the computer reboots.
Nevermind lah.
Now I am at Tong Tong Chiang Huiling's house.
I'm supposed to be studying but who cares.
Next week's my exams.
Next term I'm studying Business Law!
And it's taught by an indian.
But who cares.

Anyway,
through all this time that I've been missing in action,
a lotta things happened.
Steve Irwin died,
my hamster died,
and I made a new doggie friend.

Haha.

Highly Recommended: Breaking Bemjamin's music damn shiok one.

So I was in my trance of studying.
Fully intensed, concentrated, undisturbed studying,
when the phone rang.
This is starting to sound like a horror flick but no,
it's just a surveyor.
I forgot what she was calling for.
She beat around the bush quite a while,
didn't ask if my parents were home cos it's really my parents that she wanted to survey.
Blah blah blah for quite some time before she asked me how old I was.
I'm 17 in case you don't know.
And female.
She couldn't tell that I was female.
What, now I'm starting to sound like a man?
And she yada yada yada and asked me when the parents are going to be home.
I anyhow told her 10pm.
See if she's going to call later.
But anyway the parents also don't like this kind of stuff.
They'll just go, "Nonono I dunno you. Bye bye."
Haha.
I hate telephone surveyors more than salesmen.
I won't hang up the phone cos I think that's rude.
But I can ignore the salesman if I want.
I think hanging up the phone is more rude than ignoring people.
At least the person has a chance to yell at you.
On the phone, the person must call back to yell at you and you can choose whether you
want to get yelled at, that is if you choose to pick up the call or not.
Anyway, you get my point.
See later at 10pm if she's going to call back.

Worked last night.
Last night not so bad I was busy most of the time.
When I wasn't busy I was either staring at the customers or at the froggies.
We sell fresh frogs you know.
I watched Jimmy clutch a dammed froggie to the sink,
in just a few seconds it's cooking in the claypot.
How fresh is that?
Even fresher than Peel Fresh.
Jimmy cut the gut and chopped the head and peeled the skin.
Any fresher, you'll have to peel it yourself.
Hahaha.
Poor things.
I stared into the tank, 20-something pair of sad eyes stared back at me.
It's as if they knew they were doomed.
I wanted to console them tell them it won't be a painful death (as if), but Xiao Kang
already laughed at me when I waved to them to see if they would wave back.
"Haha, Abbie ni zai kan ni de peng you mah?"
If I talked to the froggies the chefs might cook me in the claypot too.
Or they'll cook me in the congee pot.
Congee pot very big.
Xiao Hong wasn't there.
Funny, when I went home and told my ma about the froggies,
she asked me,
"Xiao Hong mei you zuo meh?"
Why would she ask me that arh.
I told her no.

Wah, now I no mood to study.
That damn woman made me lose my momentum.

Tuesday, August 01, 2006

He told me I'm starting to sound crude when I blog.
So urm, enough of crude language.

Just back from school.
Today had a new lecturer, Mrs Peggy Yeo for Principles of Economics.
Yesterday's Mr Kwan ( Mr Talk-to-Wall-Kwan ) for Principles of Business Management.
Today's Peggy Yeo ar, wasn't what I expected.
I expected her to be really old, or really young.
But she's the mother of a teenger, 30 plus or 40.
I tell you, compared to the other lecturers I've had, this one is good.
This one is trained to teach students, not walls, and not only she can teach,
she can INTERACT.
See, the key word here is INTERACT.
When you interact with your students,
then you can get your students to PARTICIPATE.
And if your students participate,
there'll be a higher chance of a high passing rate.
Of course I'm going to pass.
If don't pass, no diploma.
If no diploma, the parents will kick me out of the house.
If no house to live in, I will die.

Well, school don't suck that much anymore.

Monday, July 31, 2006

School is starting to suck.
It's not that school didn't suck before,
it's that now school sucks even more.
The new lecturer sucks.
He was trained to teach walls, not students.
All the time he was in class, he was talking to the wall at the back of the class.
I mean, he looked at the wall, as if the wall could listen to him and take notes.
I didn't listen in class,
me and my friends were STONED.
The new trend in class is stoning and I love it.
Being the good parents that they are they gave me money to get a private diploma,
so I study at home.
If don't pass the exam must pay money to take sub-paper.
If fail again must re-module.
Must pay money AGAIN, $300 plus $15 GST.
What the fuck is with GST.
Cuba or dunno what country don't need to pay tax one leh.
Education is free and so is health service.
If the doctors there can't heal you, they send you to another country to get you healed,
an all expenses paid trip, somemore can go on vacation.
That's what I call a welfare country.
Their gahmen care for their welfare.
In Singapore they don't give a fuck and let you die,
of course if you show them your bank account and make them happy,
they jet you somewhere and make a big fuss lah.
Thinking about this makes me angry.
Gahmen give you money,
then my parents happy happy buy a new set of sofas.
Gahmen make you happy already then taxi fare bus fare mrt fare all go up.
Give then must return is it?
Then I rather don't take.
Better don't go up anymore or I will emigrate.
To Cuba or somewhere.
Somemore give birth and abortion is free,
and divorces only cost $3.50.
The people there fuck like crazy.
Welfare.
Siaow.

And what is it with Lebanon and Israel.
They like to fight then fight online or something lah.
Throw one bomb over so many people die.
The people there no brain one leh.
Must bomb until nobody left, left the President, then they happy lah.
Because of one soldier then fight until like that.
Fight somemore the oil prices will go up.
I mean, one person die better then many people die right.
People really are like cows.
At least cows don't fight and throw bombs.
They just eat and sleep and shit and fuck.

Money money money.
Everything is about money.
Got work also headache,
don't work also headache,
work too much also headache.

I think I will emigrate to the countryside.
And buy a farm and milk cows.
I'm the President and the cows are my people.

Sunday, July 30, 2006

So I just finished this book I started at the library yesterday.
Pwah I'm fast.
This book got me thinking a lot.
It's called Dairy Queen by Catherine Gilbert Murdock.
It's about a girl growing up in a family where her brothers play football and her dad used
to coach.
Then there's this football player who came to work at their cow farm and she became the
football trainer for this guy.
Then they sort of fell in love but none of them said anything,
cos she's from a farm, and the guy's rich and smart and handsome and with girls hanging
off his arms.
Things happened, she didn't tell him she was going to play football and the guy mistook
everything.
And the girl mistook the guy for being angry about something but mistook him for mistooking
about some other thing.
Then they stopped talking.
Then she went to play for her school's team and against the guy's team.
The girl's team beat them.
In the end they still talked but I dunno what became of their relationship afterwards.

This book really got me thinking a lot.
About friendship, love, how talking to your family is ver important, about football, about
cows (how we humans actually sometimes act like cows).

I'm starting on another book.
I'm going to go drink water.
I'm beginning to relive my love for reading.
Yesterday we stayed at the National Library the whole day.
Of course I couldn't read the whole day right.
I played the PSP sometimes also.

On the way of walking to the library we walked past an old trickshaw(thrickshaw?tricksaw? ok san lun che)
driver napping.
His legs were spread wide open and we saw that he wasn't wearing undies.
Cos we saw something hanging out from one pant leg.
I swear if there was water and soap something I would have scrubbed my eyes clean.
And if there was Dettol I would have gouged them out and rinse them with it.
This is a crime you know!
Old ah peks not wearing undies.
Ughh.

Thursday, July 27, 2006

Just came back from the doctor's to get my weekly dose of yucky meds.
The old granny doc very pro,
she took a look at my tongue and told me my thorat dry and haven't been sleeping soundly.
Then she felt my wrist and told me all the things that are wrong with me.
Wah seh, she psychic leh.
I think she can be my grandma, she's so old.

Tell you ar,
the world's nastiest thing is chinese meds.
Ughh!

I'm going to drink water.
My throat dry.

Sunday, July 23, 2006

Fuck man, my modem got problem.
IT's SO FRUSTRATING.

Yesterday we were at the library the whole afternoon.
I was studying for my Organisational Behaviours exam on Monday,
while he was happily reading his submarine comics.
Then we went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest at night.
IT WAS GOOD!
Although some say it's not as good as the first one.
Well, the first one was so long ago I've forgotten it.
The movie is packed with all the good stuff: adventure, humour, and 'horror'?
Maybe the disgusting-ness of Captain Davey Jones and his Flying Dutchman crew.
Almost made me want to puke.
They've got these barnacles, sea creatures growing on their bodies and faces.
I didn't like the one with the shark face.
Yuck.
The one with the hermit crab head was funny.
I think he's Cantonese leh.
When his head got cut off,
he muttered some words that sounded Cantonese,
and he kept saying 'Haiyah', when his body couldn't find its way to the head.
So funny, the 'Haiyah' thing.

The part when Elizabeth Swann kissed Jack Sparrow made me jealous of Keira Knightley.
She got to kiss Johnny Depp!

I reached home at about 12am.
Met Matthew and Christopher on the bus.
They asked me if Daryl was still being an ass in class and
I told them no, he's not in the same class as me.
I wonder how they know I study at MDIS.
I'm not very high-profiled.
I had to walk past the suicide site on the way home,
it's just beside the elavator.
The hair on the back of my neck stood on end.
I can't believe I have to walk past there everyday.
I wonder if he's there.
Well, yeah I believe in the supernatural.
Had so many experiences that I don't like to talk about.

Ma: "Girl, what do you want to be when you grow up?"
Me: "I want to be a pirate!"

Saturday, July 22, 2006

Actually the man who jumped down yesterday was downstairs Bak Chor Mee stall's owner's relative.
Dunno why he jump also.
Pa has seen him drinking in the coffee shop before.

I find that I can deliver a nice rendition of Jason Mraz's 'Life is Wonderful'
Lalalalalalalala life is wonderful...
The song sounds daft.

Friday, July 21, 2006

Mmmm.
I'm eating instant jellyfish.
Oh well.
The man who jumped down was from Ang Mo Kio.
Wah, everyday I walk past there one leh.
My ma says the place stinks of blood.

Yay.
Gayle Nerva is out.
But I was expecting her to be in the Top 6 or something.
I guess not many people like her, then.

'Tis the season to be jolly.
FWALALALALA LALALALA!!

I love Christmas. x)
FUCK.
Now my com spoil.
I on the computer only got the wallpaper there leh.
No icons no nothing.
Lucky I thought of the Windows Task Manager thing.
So exciting leh.
I woke up dreaming that I was driving a car,
then came out from my room and ma was back from the market.
She told me someone from upstairs jumped off the building this morning.
She didn't see it but pa witnessed it.
Gonna ask him about it tonight.
I asked ma if it was a teenager, cos it's nearing the O Levels.
She shot me a dirty look and told me it was an adult.
Next month Hungry Ghost Festival already,
both August and September.
I hope he/she skips this year's and come back next year.
Maybe they need some ritual or probation,
need some time to settle some things then can come down to the world as Hungry Ghosts.

Then ma told me, feeling so noble,
that she had spent almost all her money she brought with her to the market.
Left only 2 bucks,
and she bought my favourite lor mee,
didn't have money for breakfast herself.
But she's now eating her yam kueh that she made yesterday lah.
Although she's a bit hao lian,
but nevertheless she's a good ma.
And I was suspecting she's having an affair with the TV repairman yesterday.

Thursday, July 20, 2006

I kind of like the black with yellow thing.
I like lions.
RWAR.

Not going to study with friends afterall.
The girls couldn't make it,
which leaves me with 3 guys.
Err.
Was working last night.
It was hell.
So few people in Chinatown.
Even passers-by were few.
So if I want to jio customers also no customers to jio.
I just stood there and shooed the pigeons.

Gonna go study with my classmates later.
Study sounds like a word a used a long time ago.
We're studying at the Esplanade Library.
During weekdays very few people.
Somemore the ambience so nice.

I'm in a lousy mood.

Wednesday, July 19, 2006

Today is our 5th month together.
Can't believe it's already been so long, so many things happened too.
Last night we went to IMM to have dinner and walk around.
We were at Daiso, the $2 shop,
and I was looking at this chalk board/weekly schedule thingy,
when I heard him fart.
I said quite loudly, "Eh, ni fang pi arh?"
When I turned around, I saw him running away very quickly.
What made me laugh was the way he ran,
and when I said, "Eh, ni fang pi arh?",
a lot of shoppers had turned around to look at me,
only to find me talking to myself,
and they thought I was the one who farted and blamed it on someone else,
and was laughing like a psycho.
Hahaha.
That made me laugh a lot.

Xiao Hong once asked me,
If you love someone, would you travel a long distance just to see him?
I said yes.
Last night I travelled an hour and 30 minutes on bus to see him.
Haha.

The TV spoil.
Mother has gone downstairs to her friend's shop to watch TV.

Monday, July 17, 2006

I thought my thoughts of the band was long gone,
but py smsed me last night to ask me about it!
Yay.
Py's getting her friend in, I also got my classmate in.
We'll probably start next week,
after my exams.
Speaking of exams,
SIGH.

Next week's my exams.
Although we have this week off from school to study at home,
next week is still the week that I dread.
Although there're only two modules,
but imagine how much we have to study.
I know I can't compare my workload to a Poly student's workload,
but I was born lazy.
Whatever.
Come to think of it,
actually not a lot to study,
but a lot of practising and memorising.
I'll get through it.

There're some problems going on between me and Mr.Tan.
My bf lah.
But I don't want to publicise to the world my personal life,
so no more details.
But it's not a big problem,
it's just that i think too much.
I worry and worry and worry and get so emotional.
He always manages to convince me nothing bad's going to happen.
But after that I go through the same phase again.
Having someone to love is a good feeling,
and knowing that you're being loved is an even better feeling.(:
I just went through 3 and a half hours of intensive studying.
I haven't done that in a long, long, long, long time.
Or should I say nong, nong, nong, nong time.
That "Nong ago" guy from Singapore Idol.
I heard he made it big in New York.
By the way, I only support Mr.Jonathan Leong.
He's the runner-up of my list of hottest guys,
first one of course being Mr.Tan.
Anyway, I write my notes until my middle finger swollen,
the first time I started writing I rested the pencil/pen/marker/crayon on my middle finger,
and after nong, nong, nong, nong years of writing,
it's created a bump.
Now it's painful.
I can't raise my finger.

Listened to 98.7FM while studying and tada!
The Daniel Ong and Mr.Young collabo.
They tried to call themselves the Collabro.
Haha.
You put two lame people together, they become super-lame lah.
Heard from them that Mr.Einstein had six girlfriends, while he was married.
Probably all at the same time.
7 women leh.
How to handle.
And how was he able to attract so many females ah,
he's not exactly good looking.
Then Mr.Young said Mr.Einstein was the one who came up with the Big Bang theory.
If you don't get it, nevermind.

Friday, July 14, 2006

Today Kitson had a lot of phlegm in his throat, then he spit in his Horlicks paper cup and dared the 15 year old kid to drink it.
They bet on whether he's going to drink it.
$300 if he drinks it.
The phelgm accumulated and became half a cup.
Kitson wanted to pee in it and raise the bet to $1000.
Of cos the kid didn't drink it lah.
But quick cash hor?
Fear Factor leh.
Disgusting factor lor.

After that we chat about torture.
Torture people, torture animals.
Today's topic so sick.
Kitson was the one who came up with all the gruesome ideas.
I wonder is he's Hitler's descendant.

When he wakes the following afternoon,
he looks out of his window at the cafe across the street,
six floors below.
At the tables outside he sees Josie and Lee and Gary enjoying a quiet afternoon coffee.
He opens the window and shouts down at them.
'That's great!' he hollers. 'You all have a great time.
I'll be in here. Alone. On my day off.'
He says that the next time he is besieged by paparazzi
he wants to put speakers out of the windows and blast
Morrissey's 'Suedehead' at them over and over.
Why do you come here when you know it makes me sad?
There was a time when I was very depressed.
I wrote this song, but chucked it somewhere in the computer,
but just discovered it last night.

Death is Not a Life Sentence

standing at the edge of summer
tomorrow's another day
it doesn't matter who i am
it doesn't matter what i do
i just wanna be free
let me out of this misery
i want to shout to the world
what people don't know and see
it's because of many reasons that they are hiding
they are scared, fearful of responsibilities

i let the wind take my body
i feel my soul being taken
i know God is with me
for once i feel a silent peace
because all the love in the world has ceased
i feel myself being lifted
i opened my eyes to realise
that i'm on top of the world
overlooking the ocean,
and that i had jumped from a cliff
freedom is sweet
ignorance is bliss
death is not a life sentence,
for dying is a only a short precious moment
there is darkness
no sounds, no people
nothing to stop me while i fall
i am falling down, down...
it doesn't stop
i don't want it to stop
i want to keep falling
i think of nothing
i clear my heavy head of thoughts
i feel the lord's reassuring hands,
guiding me in and out of the darkness into light
never again will there only be night
for now i have understood,
death is what i'm waiting for
death is what i've been searching for
now i rest in peace
Everyone in class has noticed that our two lecturers are starting to get more and more irritated by our idle chatting in class, which is also getting louder.
Cos nobody ever listens in class, except the goodie goodie good students.
But I study hard at home, so am I one of the goodie good students?
Of cos I am.

We have different topics to chat about in class everyday.
Especially during breaks, which are also getting longer.
Today's break lasted for 45 mins, instead of the usual 30 mins.
Today we chatted about dogs.
The six of us seem to have the same interest in dogs.
The girl beside me owns two dogs,
one fat Jack Russell, and one weird breed.
She's also got the smarts about dogs.
She knows about this and that, that and this.
The football-kicking guy's friend's someone's cousin's son's dunno who
owns a Huskey who leads a good life.
The dog's owner practically has the house's air conditioner on 24 hours a day,
just because of the dog.
It's a Huskey mah,
that's why hard to survive in Singapore's weather,
so fucking hot.
And when my friend eats bread, she looks at the dog,
and dog is eating beef.
She says sometimes she wants to take the beef and give the dog the bread.
And army dudes eat dog biscuits,
I think cos it supplies us with a lot of energy or carbo.
But my friend says it tastes like shit.
See lah, we are no better than dogs.
He keeps dealing and turning over cards until he finds one
that he believes applies; though, even now, only obliquely.
'You had a choice of 15 goes,' says Jonny.
'I just think all this is... we're not proper psychics, you know.'
'I am,' says Rob.
'No, you're not, youth,' says Jonny. 'You think you are, but you're not.'
They start bickering.
'Youth, I am.'
'You're not, youth. You're really not.'
'I am.'
'Bless you for thinking you are... but you're not.'
'I fucking am,' says Rob, firmly.
'You're not,' shouts Jonny.
'No, I am, youth,' insists Rob.
'Youth, you're not,' says Jonny. 'You're a singer. Songwriter.'
'I'm also psychic,' says Rob stubbornly.
This has been a real row at some points,
but now he's also just trying to wind Jonny up.
'I'm slightly worried,' says Jonny,
'because you think you're Mystic Meg now. You're not psychic...'
'Alright, youth,' says Rob, brandishing the cards,
'how about this: will you and me know each other, be in each other's lives, in five years?'
'That's a horrible question,' objects Jonny. 'That's horrible. That's a horrible question.'
'Why are you bothered what the card would say?' asks Rob.
'Because you shouldn't question friendship,' says Jonny.
Rob picks up three cards. They don't seem to comment on the matter either way.
'I can't be psychic when I'm tired,' Rob says.
And they're off again.
'You're not psychic,' says Jonny.
'Fuck you, I am!' says Rob.
'You're not, you dick! You're not psychic.'
'You really mean that, don't you?' says Rob, amused.
'Yes. You are not psychic. What makes you think that you're psychic? Tell me.'
'I just know I am.'

'Fame is like having a little baby,' Rob counters.
'It's really great and really lovely and it takes its first steps and you're there and you cry,
and then it dances a little bit, and you're there and you cry too...
and then it shits itself and it pukes everywhere and then it goes through
the terrible twos when it pulls things off and burns itself and all that sort of stuff,
and you just want to go, "This is great, can I give it to you back for a little bit while i do this?"'
Wheepee!
I scored 17 out of 20 but didn't study for my Business, Accounting and Finance test.
I'm smart. =P

I was flipping through the newspapers when I came across an article.
It's about an American being struck by lightning while he was listening to his iPod outdoors when raining.
One side of his face was chao-da, and his ear-drum spoil.
I was like, 'WHAT?'
That means my iPod is a potential hazard lah.
That means I may die while listening to music.
Wah, quite dangerous hor?
And people can get struck by lightning when talking on the handphone outdoors also.
This morning my rich classmate came to class bringing a huge, expensive looking umbrella.
He's quite rich, so his friends teased him that even his umbrella is from a designer label.
Anyways, what caught our eyes was the tip of the umbrella.
IT WAS MADE OF METAL.
We joked about how he didn't get struck by lightning. *touch wood*

To fill you in on my school's latest news,
2 girls from my class were expelled cos they were caught fighting.
From what I've heard, Ms.A was presenting her powerpoint slides and Ms.B laughed.
Ms.A mistook Ms.B for laughing at her and waited for her outside the classroom after class.
Ms.A beat Ms.B up.
She scratched and attacked only Ms.B's face, and there was a deep scratch on her neck.
Tada, they were expelled.
Ms.A so smart lah, attack only the face, maybe she couldn't stand how pretty Ms.B is,
so attack only the face and scar her beautiful face.
But from what I heard, Ms.B deserves it also.
Ms.B is pretty and stuck up, she even wears skirts to school without panties,
and even seduced her best friend's boyfriend.
Now even her best friend also dulan, dowan friend her.
Then today we got a letter passed around, supposedly a petition for us to sign to help get Ms.A back to school.
So exciting hor?
Sound like a page from Hollywood tabloids.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting the Italians to clinch this year's World Cup.
I've said before, I don't know them well, but after watching last night's match,
I can see now that they have good defense, and good looking players.
Some say it was the perfect match to end the World Cup, with good players, good football, and good drama.
Drama being the irresponsible act of Zinedine Zidane.
A fellow Italian player must have said something nasty to him,
at first he walked away, maybe ignoring him,
but then he suddenly turned around and head-butt the Italian's chest.
The Italian was caught off guard and fell.
That stunt Zidane pulled cost him a red card and he was sent off.
He went straight to the dressing room.
He must have known that France could not win and gave up.
And anyway he'll be retiring, like Oliver Kahn,
and did what he could not have done before.
The match ended with Italy beating France in the penalty shoot-out with a score of 5-3.
The match ended full time with a draw, 1-1.
I thought the match was disappointing.
I was all the way rooting for France, and was deeply affected by what Zidane did.
He's my hero leh.
Lao hero, but still my hero.

The World Cup 5+kg leh.
Fucking make of gold.
Why the mafia didn't go and steal the Cup before the Italians could touch it?

Sunday, July 09, 2006

Okay so I've got a new blogskin, it makes me want to blog more and blog.

Quite anxious as of what tonight's match will turn out, after all it's the FIFA World Cup finals.
This day only come once every four years leh.
Confirm must watch, even if I keep nodding off.
So... The big match, Italy against France.
I'm rooting for France, although I don't know Italy that well.
No matter how much you people say about Zinedine Zidane getting old and his hair falling off,
"OLD GINGER IS STILL THE SPICIEST."
It's that crucial goal that Zidane scored that led France to the finals.
My boyfriend says France might win this year, if this year they win then got pattern already.
4 years ago Brazil won, 4 years earlier France won.
But such a pity Brazil couldn't even get to the semi-finals this year.
I was planning to wear my Brazil shirt tomorrow if Brazil had gotten to the finals and won.
The day after Brazil beat Japan, I wore my Brazil shirt to school.
My soccer-playing classmate accused me of being a Brazil supporter.
Although I'm not a diehard fan, I can't say I'm not a fan.
After all, they were Number 1.
Used to be the best team in the world.
4 years ago, their coordination was perfect.
Every goal was spot on.
Ronaldo could do anything.
But now I dunno what happen lah.
So disappointing.
And England also lor.
What happened to my Mr.David Beckham?
Not one single England player is nominated for this year's Golden Ball Award, you know.
But of course my Mr.Michael Ballack is one of the nominees.
Mr.Oliver Kahn won the Golden Glove Award in World Cup 2002.
Best goalkeeper.
Best!

But my favourite team still Germany lor.

4 years ago is, 4 years later will also be.
8 years ago I wasn't watching the World Cup.
8 years ago I was busy getting caned by my primary school teacher.
4 years later I can bet liao. Big money, big money!

People at work ask me of my opinions before matches.
I say which team win, they bet that team, they win money.
Not I haolian lah, please.

WAKE UP AND WATCH THE FOOTBALL!

World Cup 3rd & 4th Placing

This morning I was finally able to force my sleepy body to walk to the tv and turn it on.
Haha I didn't miss that good match, Germany against Portugal.
Tonight definately going to watch the finals.
It's such a pity Germany wasn't able to make it to the final two.
I supported them during the 2002 FIFA World Cup too,
when Oliver Kahn was captain and playing goalie for the Germs.
Last night was supposedly Kahn's last World Cup game,
he's already 37 of age.
Four years later he'd be 41.
He's still good.
He's like, when the ball gets near, he'll be either, 'I want the ball! I want the ball!', and catch and clutch the ball to his chest tightly with both arms, or he'll be, 'Get the ball away from me! Get the ball away from me!', and whack the ball away with his hand.
Four years ago, I remember him punching the ball with his fist, then the ball will be flying skywards.
Damn funny lah I've never seen a goalie like him.
So sad lor, the next World Cup, Germany's goalie is gonna be the curly hair dude.
The next World Cup is to be held in South Africa.
That's such a shock, what? Are they gonna kick coconuts?
And where to find such a big stadium?
No lah, I just haven't seen the world yet.
The blacks may win the World Cup next time, considering African teams like Ghana and Togo can already get so far into the tournament.
And it's their debut somemore.

Anyways, last night was a good match, only the second half was worth watching.
Half time ended with both sides 0-0.
Second half things started to heat up.
That 21-year-old player, I forgot his name, scored two goals for Germany, and Petit from Portugal scored an own goal.
I rememeber Petit's name cos the match's commentator kept repeating Petit's name.
Luis Figo really is a legend, once he stepped onto the pitch, things turned around for Portugal and he helped another dude score for Portugal.
I'm sorry, I'm not one for remembering names haha.
All in all, good match, although I was falling asleep thoughout.
I watched them score two goals with my eyes closed.
By the way, the match ended 3-1.
Of course, Germany won.

Army Daze

Listening to my classmates chat about the harshness of army life, makes me glad that I don't have a penis.
My classmate once remarked, once you pop out of your mother's stomach, once your birth cert is printed, if you have a lanjiao, immediately you owe the gahmen 2 years.
WAH SEH.

Tonight's Match

hmm.
some people still leave comments.
by the way, i used to blog long posts, but now i don't really have a lot to say anymore, or maybe it's just a waste of time.
one of tonight's match is England against Equador.
i've got no hope.
i read that the temperature's gonna hit 40 degrees.
how can Becks and team stand the heat?
the last time the temperature hit a high of 30 degrees they already complained and jumped into ice baths.
even i can't stand 30 degrees ok.
then how can you expect them to chase after a ball for 90 minutes in that sweltering heat?
sure die lah.
think about it when you place your bets, man.
4 years later i'm gonna bet haha.
i'm sadly underaged.
people offer to help me place bets but, nah.

ahem.
next saturday's there's gonna be a match.
not one of the FIFA World Cup matches but one of our own.
ok lah.
last year's Peirce soccer team and my classmate's team.
interested people pls contact me for more information.
haha.

aiyah.
tell you arh.
i regret, man.
REGRET.
for not saving up earlier and buy the tickets to Robbie Williams concert that's to be held on 18th Nov.
see lah, now you missed the ticket selling dates.
pls God, spare me one ticket.
amen.

I have to do research on Mr. Bill Gates.

Today is Wednesday

A - Ae Sai
B - Bue Pai
C - Chin Chye
D - Diarrhoea (Lao Sai)

Hahahahaha!!

School

School is cool.
Ok lor I'm just starting to get used to it.
Ok lah just 3 hrs per day.
Then study like mad at home.
I saw a GAY in school.

Today the lecturer was a boring indian man.
Tomorrow will be the funny Chinese man.

Sunday, June 11, 2006

Blah!

Ok lor.
Tomorrow school starts lor.
I'm not really looking forward to it but a little bit of me is looking forward to it cos I'll have something to concentrate on.
But hor.
Tomorrow night I'll also have to work.
Then have to wake up early the next morning for school.
My life is hard, man.
Haha no lah.
I kind of dread the arrival of tomorrow morning.
Urrgh.
Blah!
Pui.

I'm back!

I'm back! I'm back!
Okay, I got nothing out of the trip to Malaysia except for a new pair of glasses and almost a heart attack.
Because of my cousin's fatass son.
That fatass.
I tell you arh, when you try to put a stop to his atrocious behaviour you can pop a few blood vessels in your head.
I almost did.
I screamed at him so much, my heart beat very fast after that.
Last night I almost landed my knuckles on his stupid head.
ok lor.
Not that fun lor.
Just a nice change of environment and a rare chance to live in a nice big house for a change.
But so many things happened.
*sigh*

Sunday, May 28, 2006

Today is Monday. Blue blue Monday

i'll be going to Malaysia tomorrow.
last minute notice from the fickle mind of my mother.
it's good too.
i'm starting to miss my family there.
and i'm getting bored here.

Thursday, May 25, 2006

Today is Thursday

Relatives came to my house just now.
All 12 of them.
And anyway I don't have a lot to say to them.
They stayed for a while, ate lunch, then went off.
My uncle was here for business so they just popped by.
Woo.
Looks like my plan for the band is finally on its way.
I found one member.
Haha.
I'm gonna work my ass off, study my ass off, and play my ass off.
While I'm still young.
*shrugs*

Monday, May 22, 2006

Uhh.

Somebody commented in thy blog.
Somebody from some nippledrive.com.
Hahaha a porno webmaster stepped onto thy blog.
But to think I actually have people stepping onto my blog.
That's good.
HEY.
I WANT TO START A BAND.
AGAIN.
ANY TAKERS?

Whoopeee

Aww, how mushy can I get.
My blog was dead.
Now I'm back to revive it.
During this long period of time i did a lot of things,
and i recently lost something.
Not gonna tell you what.
Anyways, school's gonna start soon.
So not looking foward to that considering I've been slacking my ass off for the past 6 months.
But to think about it, I am going to have to step into the adult society in just about 1 year plus.
But that's kinda fast, way too fast.
I'm still a kid.
Uhh.
Then I'll make myself a lot of money and do whatever the hell I want.
I used to think I have no life.
Now I have a lot more interesting lives.
Not gonna tell you what lives.
Hahaha.
But I'm happy about it.
=D

This is for you

These days while you are away,
my skies are grey.
You've showered me with so much love and care,
I'm helpless when you are not there.
I think about you all the time,
and of when you'll really be mine.

Your voice rings at the back of my head,
you're the best that I've ever had.
I want to be with you,
even when you have your Monday blues.
Those I love yous and kisses of goodnight
were always there to hold me tight.
Try as I might,
I can never forget you,
not tonight.

Darlin', without you in my life, I'd be so lonely.
If you leave me, I'll go crazy.
Your good morning sms-es never fail to brighten up my day.
I love you, my love, I'll never go away.

I'm sticking with you,
attached to your back with Uhu glue.
You light up the candles in my life,
With you around, these flames will never die.

[ Baby, I wrote this for you in 10 minutes.
This is the sappiest and mushiest thing I've ever written.
GOOD LORD.
But I've never been so serious about this,
I mean all of the words I've written,
all 158 of them.
Call me when you see this.
Did you get anything for me from Taiwan?
Haha (: ]

One Thing

I want to say something.
the Tammy sibei stupid.

Uhh.

long time no log onto IRC.
seems like now the Tammy home-made sex video in the handphone is the hot topic.
IRC is still fun lah.
you don't know anybody.
talk rubbish loh.
laugh at people when they say something stupid.
catch up with what they're saying.
i'm just bored lah.

A Great Loss

Mr. S Rajaratnam passed away, today he would be 91.
that's quite an accomplishment already, being able to live until this ripe old age.
before his passing i think not many young people know about him right.
then now he's gone everybody knows about him.
he wrote the Singapore pledge right.
in the afternoon i watched them bring his body from the Parliament House to the Esplanade, then listen to the big shots give their eulogies.
i almost fell asleep.
nevertheless, it was a solemn event.
i dunno lah, hearing about what a great man he was, it made me sad.

speaking of death,
i wanna talk about the Ah How case.
he has a pending death sentence right.
give him a chance lah.
i mean, we all make mistakes.
he still has a wife and a kid, and people who love him.
surely we shouldn't take his life.
give him 20 years imprisonment or some strokes of the cane, at least he'll still be around to see his family.
you know about his dad asking people to sign the petition to ask Mr. President to spare his life?
go to the temple place opposite Bugis and sign it.
i did it.

Haha look at his eyes.
Dunno where i got this picture. Nice.

Update Update!

long time since i blogged.
forgive me, for i've cast my self interest elsewhere.
in which case, my hectic work schedule.
i sound like a bored, aging, balding working adult who leads a life living in the office 18 hours a day.
whom, afterwhich, leads no life at all.
the pay is okay, working environment is good, the staff and work is plenty fun.
an excellent choice of part time work, although i do not wish to carry on with this when i step into the workforce.
i can't live serving people, i live to be served.
heh.
other than that, i have to tolerate with being constantly bullied.
ahem, in a good way.
we love to make a joke out of everything.
so fun lah, you get paid to have fun.
can't wait for the next working day.

received my results earlier.
no feelings and reflection and emotions whatsoever.
guess i'm probably used to the fact that we have to go through this someday, no matter the final outcome.
my results are never good, nor are they bad.
i have to say likewise this time around.
now all i have to deal with is the chore of deciding what course i'm going to take.
this is the test of realism.
it doesn't get any more real than this.

Werrk.

work sucks okay.
except for having to look at him 8 hours a day, 6 days a week.
it's tiring lah, having to walk around all day,
then i come home with my feet aching.
but i'm gonna continue with the job even after poly starts,
cos i'll be saving up for my scooter.
drive to work.
vroom-vroooom!
drive to school.
vroom-vroooooooooom!
but it's dangerous hor.
if a car hits the bike it's not the car that flies.
shit man.

Lalala

cupid has striked again.
for the second time.
i'm shot.
he looks chinese[as in from china]/hong kong-ese/taiwanese.
black hair with blonde streak in the fringe.
looks to be around the age of 20 but from closer inspection, i'm not sure anymore.
purses his lips, doesn't smile a lot.
today i was on the same bus as him.
stared at the back of his head for 15 minutes.
*sigh*

Sunday, January 08, 2006

Urrgh.

yesterday the blasted sky opened up and poured non-stop for more than 12 hours.
feck.

Rob Rob Rob

i'm just so caught up with Robbie Williams that out of nowhere,
this verse popped into my mind.

"I met Robbie Williams on the way to church,
I was so psyched my stomach did a lurch.
Never did I expect to meet him,
This precious moment must be God given.
I walked up to him to shake his hand,
And tell him that I'm his biggest fan."

All that you see above is purely fictional.
I AM NOT a church goer,
nor have I met Robbie Williams.
